Abstract
This article describes the sandplay process and dream analysis of a young woman, age 16 through age 18. Due to lack of emotional attunement from parents, the client was constantly overwhelmed by her self-doubt and anxiety. Her parents’ remark regarding showing emotions as “being crazy” added to the burden. She had introjected the criticism and projected it outside, seeing the world as persecutory. To avoid anxiety, she was stuck in her comfort zone, which also became her confinement. Unable to make sense of her feelings, part of her psyche was split off and stayed unconscious, until being triggered. She began the therapeutic process presenting with unexpected aggression towards her brother, who had become a target for her shadow projection. The client started the sandplay process within her comfort zone, then slowly ventured into deeper layers of her psyche as well as the outside world. Sandplay therapy provided a safe space for the client to explore her psyche, build ego-strength, differentiate complexes and finally find her own container.

Das Verlassen des Heims und Innere Heimkehr: Die Entwicklung einer Jungen Frau ins Erwachsenalter
ZUSAMMENFASSUNG: Dieser Beitrag beschreibt den Sandspielprozess und die Traumanalyse einer jungen Frau im Alter von 16 bis 18 Jahren. Aufgrund eines Mangels an emotionaler Einstimmung durch die Eltern war die Klientin ständig von Selbstzweifeln und Angst überwältigt. Die Bemerkung ihrer Eltern, dass das Zeigen von Gefühlen »verrückt« sei, belastete die Klientin zusätzlich. Sie hatte die Kritik introjiziert und nach außen projiziert, wodurch sie die Welt als persekutiv wahrnahm. Um Angst zu vermeiden, blieb die Klientin in ihrer »Komfortzone«, die zur Beschränkung wurde. Da sie ihre Gefühle nicht einordnen konnte, wurde ein Teil ihrer Psyche abgespalten und blieb unbewusst, bis er ausgelöst wurde. Zum Beginn ihrer Therapie zeigte sie unerwartete Aggression gegenüber ihrem Bruder, der zum Ziel ihrer Schattenprojektion geworden war. Die Sandspieltherapie bot der Klientin einen sicheren Raum, um ihre Psyche zu erforschen, Ich-Stärke aufzubauen, Komplexe zu differenzieren und ihre eigene Sicherheitszone zu finden.

Resumo: Este artigo descreve o processo de sandplay e análise de sonhos de uma jovem, dos 16 aos 18 anos. Devido a um histórico de falta de sintonia emocional por parte dos pais, a cliente estava constantemente ansiosa e sobrecarregada com suas dúvidas. O comentário dos pais que mostrar emoções é “ser louca” aumentou o fardo da cliente. Ela havia introjetada a crítica e a projetou para fora, percebendo o mundo como persecutório. Para evitar a ansiedade, a cliente ficou presa em sua “zona de conforto”, que se tornou sua prisão. Incapaz de entender seus sentimentos, parte de sua psique foi dissociada e permaneceu inconsciente, até ser desencadeada Ela começou o processo terapêutico, apresentando uma agressão inesperada em relação ao irmão, que se tornara alvo de sua projeção de sombra. A terapia de sandplay proporcionou um espaço seguro para a cliente explorar sua psique, construir a força do ego, diferenciar complexos e, finalmente, encontrar seu próprio ambiente seguro.
