Abstract
The article presents a case study of a woman in her fifties, whose sandplay process spanned about one year. The patient was married with three children. She immigrated to Canada after two prior immigrations. Being a well educated and respected professional, she had to adapt to a very new socio-cultural situation. She became psychologically fragile, which triggered the re-living of the many losses of people she loved, one of whom was her mother. Simultaneously, the client’s own motherhood and marriage were brought into question. She started showing signs of depression, gained weight, and began having multiple health concerns. As part of a sandplay research project, she became very engaged in her sandplay process. Through her sandplay, the client experienced transformation which brought about notable changes in her soul, mind, and body. Additionally, it resulted in a change of her attitude to her new life and ability to look for new ways of making herself a part of the collective.

Die Heilung von Geist, Körper und Verstand, durch Immigration Unterbrochen, durch Sandspieltherapie
ZUSAMMENFASSUNG: Dieser Beitrag zeigt die Fallstudie einer Frau in den Fünfzigern die nach Kanada immigrierte. Sie wurde psychologisch geschwächt und dies löste ein Widererleben des Verlusts vieler geliebter Personen, eine davon die Mutter, aus. Gleichzeitig wurden die eigene Erfahrung mit Mutterschaft und ihre Ehe in Frage gestellt. Sie zeigte Anzeichen der Depression. Ihre therapeutische Arbeit brachte eine veränderte Lebenseinstellung und neue Möglichkeiten zutage.
