Abstract
The paper on which this article is based was first presented at the Anima Mundi in Transition—XXth IAAP Congress in Kyoto, Japan, August 28 – September 2, 2016. Anima Mundi: Meaningful Interconnections through Imagination, Empathy and Sandplay will appear in the Proceedings of the Congress. This presentation given at the 20th International Congress for Analytical Psychology intertwines two cases of divergent ages, an elderly woman in her 70s and a young boy, age 4. The processes of each emphasize the connection to the world and its elements with each seeking to find a compass point in their lives. With the therapist holding the empathic space for their sandplay process, their imaginative play animated the world soul, Anima Mundi.

Anima Mundi: Bedeutungsvolle Verbindungen durch Imagination, Empathie und Sandspiel
ZUSAMMENFASSUNG: Der Vortrag basiert sich auf dem dieser Beitrag der erstmals auf dem 20 IAAP Kongress in Kioto, Japan 28. August – 2. September 2016 präsentiert wurde. Anima Mundi: Bedeutungsvolle Verbindungen durch Imagination, Empathie und Sandspiel wird auch im Vorgehen des Kongresses veröffentlicht. Dieser Beitrag verbindet zwei Fallbeispiele von Patienten verschiedenen Alters: einer Dame über sechzig und eines 4 jährigen Jungens. Jeder Prozeß betont die Verbindung zur Welt und ihren Elementen und beide versuchen einen Kompaß in Ihren respektiven Leben zu finden. Ihr imaginatives Spiel animierte die Weltseele, Anima Mundi, gehalten durch die Therapeuten im empathischen Raum des Sandspiel Prozesses.
