Abstract
Circumambulation is important in different religious traditions, and also can be seen as a metaphor for therapeutic process. This article explores the significance of circumambulation for Jung in describing individuation, and explains the significance of the stupa and the labyrinth in relation to sandplay therapy. Several clinical examples of circumambulation and symbolic representation of making circuits or spirals in sandplay process are presented.
