Abstract
This article is about the sandplay process of a man with 2 small children. His wife died of a drug overdose soon after joint therapy began. Within the first week of treatment the work became individual psychotherapy. The sandplay process shows a man’s struggle to find inner strength and meaning to manage his addictions and to help himself and his children with issues of grief and loss.

Die Grosse Kluft Überqueren: Der Weg eines Mannes durch seine Trauer
ZUSAMMENFASSUNG: Dieser Artikel beschreibt den Sandspielprozess eines Mannes. Seine Frau starb an einer Drogenüberdosis kurz nach dem Beginn einer gemeinsamen Therapie. In der ersten Woche der Behandlung entwickelte sich die Arbeit zu individueller Psychotherapie.
