Abstract
The author explores the sandplay process of a teenage male who had suffered from early abandonment as well as physical and sexual abuse. He was able to find his way guided by the symbolic light of the spontaneously and unconsciously produced inner image of the star to integrate dark and light aspects of his life experiences and personality. There was an internal growth of order, balance, organization, and self-regulation during this process. By the end of therapy, the client seemed to have developed an internal bridging of a deep psychological split and a new sense of direction.

Funkelnde Sterne in der Dunklen Nacht: Sandspiel mit einem Mißbrauchten
ZUSAMMENFASSUNG: Die Autorin untersucht den Sandspielprozess eines Jugendlichen der früh im Stich gelassen wurde und körperlich und sexual mißbraucht wurde. Geleitet durch das spontan und unbewusst geschaffene inner Bild des Sterns konnte er seinen Weg finden.
