Abstract
This article reviews nature play, developed by Kaspar Kiepenheuer. This play in nature provides a more conscious reflection on previous childhood experiences. The healing characteristics of the therapist provide the containment, similar to the walls that the sandbox offer. The relationship of trust sets limits of time and place. Each individual has 30 minutes to an hour to be with their own natural collection; the group then gathers collectively and visits each other's scenes, with each nature player describing the scene as they are willing. This time with nature prompts an awareness for the fragility of the earth.
