Abstract
This article describes the sandplay process of a young woman who had gone through multiple traumatic events. Her father had died after a traumatic injury, and after that she experienced some sexual traumas. There was a noticeable difference between her antagonism and oppositional behavior in the verbal analysis and her creativity and immersion in the process of sandplay therapy. The patient’s process is described mainly through the journey of one small figure which was present in most of the sandplay scenes, and went through dangerous adventures on the way to healing. This figure represents the journey of the hero, helping the patient to strengthen her ego, and enabling her to get in touch with softer parts of herself, which had been dissociated due to the trauma. The advantages of sandplay therapy in the healing of trauma are discussed.

Reise durch Wasser und Feuer: Eine Fallstudie von Trauma und Heilung
ZUSAMMENFASSUNG: Dieser Artikel beschreibt den Sandspielprozess einer jungen Frau, die mehrere traumatische Ereignisse durchgemacht hat. Ihr Vater war nach einer traumatischen Verletzung gestorben und sie hatte danach einige sexuelle Traumata erlitten. Der Prozess der Patientin wird hauptsächlich durch die Reise einer kleinen Figur beschrieben, die in fast allen Sandspielszenen präsent war.

RESUMEN: Este artículo describe el proceso de sandplay de una mujer joven que pasó por múltiples eventos traumáticos. Su padre había muerto después de una lesión traumática, y después de eso ella experimentó algunos traumas sexuales. El proceso del paciente se describe principalmente a través del recorrido de una pequeña figura que estuvo presente en la mayoría de las escenas de sandplaydel paciente.

RÉSUMÉ: Cet article décrit le processus de sandplay d'une jeune femme qui a traversé plusieurs événements traumatiques. Son père était décédé après une blessure traumatique, et après cela, elle a subi des traumatismes sexuels. Le processus du patient est décrit principalement à travers le parcours d'une petite figure qui était présente dans la plupart des scènes de sandplay du patient.
