Lucia Chambers

Abstract

Lucia Chambers, Founding Member of Sandplay Therapists of America, commented on sandplay therapy and its popularity in 1993. She comments on trying to find the balance between the need for action and the necessity for receptivity; between “doing” and “being.” She wrote, “Somehow we must develop that delicate balance out of which will emerge the transformed pattern. And it will be through process: my process of musing and circling and struggling, and yours” (p.15).
