Joan C. Concannon, LMFT, Jungian Analyst, Certified Sandplay Therapist
Sandplay, like dreams, has the unique capacity to allow the psyche to express itself and activate innate healing processes. In my analytic practice, I interweave dreamwork, Sandplay, and other practices of active imagination, with both adults and children.
I enjoy teaching both Jungian Dream Interpretation and Sandplay in a variety of settings. My case presentations for The Sandplay Therapists of America Conferences and Assemblies have included “Manifestations of the Self,” “Mirroring and Reflection in Sandplay,” “Symbolism of the Crow and Raven in Mythology, Alchemy and Sandplay,” and “Held Captive.” I am a Teaching Analyst for the CG Jung Study Center of Southern California.
The article, “Symbolism of the Crow and Raven in Mythology, Alchemy and Sandplay” was published in the Journal of Sandplay Therapy, Volume 24, Number 1, 2015.
