Read the Psychology Today article highlighting Sandplay. In "A Personal Experience with Queer Archetypes, and a Little Chaos," Alex Stitt explains how Sandplay is an excellent gender-affirmative practice for both kids and adults, as it routes honesty and authenticity through symbolism and imagination.
STA pledges to closely review and revise its policies, procedures and practices and take the actions necessary to cultivate a more diverse and inclusive membership. As helping professionals it is imperative that we examine ourselves, own our shortcomings, and create the change in ourselves that we hope to see in the world.
In order to better serve our members during this time of national crisis, STA is implementing the following three-part plan: I. Increase Virtual Opportunities for Members to Connect. II. Exceptions for Education/Training Hours and Case Consultations. III. Offering support to Teaching Members to improve capacity for online training. We hope these changes will be helpful to our members. As this pandemic progresses in our country and each of you are called upon to hold others more and more, you also need to be held. Please stay safe and well.
