Abstract
The author, Takako J. Ainsworth, follows the sandplay process of a man in midlife, whose sandplay and analytic work unfolded over eight years and twenty-three trays. Through symbols of fragmentation and renewal, the patient gradually moved toward greater integration and agency. Recurring symbolic images such as the water-bearer, the broken wolf-man, the baby in the shell and the wheel-spinner revealed the patient’s inner struggles with shame, identity, and masculine development. Ayahuasca experiences amplified the imagery, evoking themes of creation, destruction, and rebirth. The work often moved within a shared analytic field, where the “co-transference” (Bradway, 1991) was experienced like a subtle mirror of his early experiences. Zusammenfassung: Die Autorin verfolgt den Sandspielprozess eines Mannes in der Lebensmitte, dessen Sandspiel- und analytische Arbeit sich über acht Jahre und dreiundzwanzig Sandbildern entfaltete. Durch Symbole der Fragmentierung und Erneuerung entfaltete sich der Patient allmählich zu größerer Integration und Handlungskompetenz. Wiederkehrende symbolische Bilder wie der Wasserträger, der zerbrochene „Wolfsmann“, das Baby in der Muschel und die Spinnerin offenbarten die inneren Kämpfe des Patienten mit Scham, Identität und männlicher Entwicklung. Ayahuasca-Erfahrungen verstärkten die Bildsprache und riefen Themen von Schöpfung, Zerstörung und Wiedergeburt hervor. Die Arbeit bewegte sich oft in einem geteilten analytischen Feld, in dem die “co-transference” („Co-transferenz“) (Bradway, 1991) wie ein subtiler Spiegel seiner frühen Erfahrungen erlebt wurde. Während der Patient die Fähigkeit entwickelte, innere Spannungen auszuhalten, begann er, sich einem authentischeren und integrierten Selbst zuzuwenden.

要旨： 本稿では、中年期にある一人の男性の箱庭療法の過程をたどる。彼の作業は８年間にわたり、２３のトレイを通して展開された。断片化と再生を象徴するイメージを通して、患者は徐々に統合と主体性へと向かっていった。水を運ぶ人、壊れた狼男、貝殻の中の赤ん坊、舵を取る者といった反復する象徴的イメージは、羞恥心、アイデンティティ、そして男性性の発達をめぐる内的葛藤を映し出していた。アヤワスカ体験はそのイメージ世界を増幅させ、創造・破壊・再生といったテーマを喚起した。作業はしばしば共有された分析的フィールドの中で進み、そこでは「共転移」（Bradway, 1991）がまるで初期の経験を微妙に映し出す鏡のように体験された。患者が内的緊張を抱える能力を発達させるにつれ、より真正で統合された自己へと向かっていった。

Resumo: A autora acompanha o processo de sandplay de um homem na meia-idade, cujo trabalho em sandplay e análise se desenrolou ao longo de oito anos e vinte e três caixas de areia. Por meio de símbolos de fragmentação e renovação, o paciente moveu-se gradualmente em direção a uma maior integração e capacidade de agir. Imagens simbólicas recorrentes — como o carregador de água, o “homem-lobo” quebrado, o bebê na concha e o fiandeiro da roda — revelaram as lutas internas do paciente com vergonha, identidade e desenvolvimento masculino. Experiências com ayahuasca ampliaram a imagética, evocando temas de criação, destruição e renascimento. O trabalho frequentemente ocorria em um campo analítico compartilhado, onde a “co-transferência” (Bradway, 1991) era vivida como um espelho sutil de suas experiências iniciais. À medida que o paciente desenvolvia a capacidade de sustentar tensões internas, começou a mover-se em direção a um self mais autêntico e integrado.
