ABSTRACT:  In this proceeding the author presents material about a twelve-year-old boy who had been adopted when he was an infant. The client had been referred to therapy after using a pocket knife to scratch his arms. The pattern of these markings recalled those of ritual scarifications during initiation ceremonies. The author remarked that for the purposes of this presentation– The Meaning and Importance of a Father’s Blessing to Transform the Space Between Us — Masculine Awareness Committee Sandplay Therapists of America Fall Workshop 2021– she selected aspects of this client’s therapy that had to do with a powerful affirmation of the client by his father.

Die Autorin betont, dass sie für diese Präsentation Aspekte aus der Therapie des Klienten ausgewählt hat, die mit einer Affirmation des Klienten durch seinen Vater zu tun haben.
