ABSTRACT: “A Young Boy’s Journey,” follows the passage of a ten-year-old boy, as he confronts his inner anxiety and confusion from exposure to internet pornography and resulting psychological and behavioral consequences. By working in the sand, in the “free and protected space” of the therapeutic container, deeply rooted anger issues, perfectionism and the client’s inability to express his feelings became central areas of concentration. Through his sandplay therapy work, he uncovered/recovered archetypal heroic energies allowing him to better manage his emotions in response to his parents’ expectations and increased his ability to identify and transform acting out behaviors into a narrative to which he could give voice. This client’s descent and return built a psychological landscape with the necessary tools for him to better express his feelings and make more thoughtful and conscious choices. pp.35-57

ABSTRACT: “Der Weg eines Jungen” verfolgt den Prozess eines zehnjährigen Jungen, der, nachdem er der Internet Pornographie ausgesetzt wurde, mit seiner inneren Angst und Verwirrung sowie den daraus resultierenden psychologischen und verhaltensbedingten Folgen konfrontiert wurde. Durch seine Sandspieltherapie entdeckte er archetypische heldenhafte Energien, die es ihm ermöglichten, seine Emotionen besser zu handhaben, seine Fähigkeit, Verhaltensweisen zu identifizieren, in Worte zu fassen und in eine Erzählung umzuwandeln verbesserten. Der psychologische Abstieg und die Umkehrung dieses Klienten waren hilfreich seine Gefühle besser auszudrücken und zu durchdenken und bewusstere Entscheidungen treffen zu können.
