About My Work:
Since 1983, Dr. Heiko has worked in private practice with children and families and as a trainer/supervisor for play therapists and Sandplay therapists. She is a Clinical Teaching Member of ISST and has delighted in presenting nationally and at regional conferences. She specializes in working with children and adults who have been traumatized, have emotional adjustment difficulties or have experienced medical or chronic pain challenges. She is an Approved Consultant in Clinical Hypnosis (holds certification as a Teaching Member) and enjoys utilizing expressive art therapy techniques, dream work and storytelling. She has proudly served on the STA Board of Directors.
