Presenter(s): Linda Cunningham, PhD, MFT, CST-T and Guest CST-T Presenters
Week Two is an extension of the Week One training but may be attended by those who do not attend Week One. In Week Two, we explore the use of sandplay to heal complex trauma, and the concept of the four archetypal relational fields from Dr. Cunningham’s book, Sandplay and the Clinical Relationship (2013). We will integrate our understandings of neuroscience, trauma and body-based theories, Jungian theory and psychoanalytic ideas with sandplay theory and practice. This training includes: Clinical Sandplay (24 hours), Symbolism (10 hours) and Jungian Theory (6 hours). This small group setting near picturesque Gig Harbor, WA is at a spacious training site in a beautiful setting near forests and walking trails, and there is ample room for experiential activities in a nurturing environment. Venture a mile to historic downtown Gig Harbor and discover waterfront cafes, restaurants and shopping. Lunch will be provided, so you can stay onsite, and then take a walk on the nearby Cushman Trail if you like. California and Washington CE’s are available.
