Barbara Brugler, LISW-S, BCD, CST-T, has over 35 years experience and is in private practice in Worthington, OH treating children and adults. As a Sandplay therapist, she has presented different Sandplay topics in Savannah, Chicago, and Montreal as well as around the state. Dyane Sherwood, CST, is a Jungian psychoanalyst certified in both Adult and in Child & Adolescent Analysis, and a Licensed Psychologist (CA and OH). Her closing remarks, “On Weaving,” at the 2015 Baltimore Gathering will be published in the Journal of Sandplay Therapy. She has written on the role of symbolism in healing, the neurobiology of implicit (nonverbal) communication, Jung’s Red Book, alchemy and depth transformation, and shamanism and its relation to analysis. She contributed a chapter to the latest edition of Jungian Psychoanalysis (ed. Murray Stein) and her chapter in The Body after Jung (ed. Raya Jones) is entitled: “Embodied Psyche: Movement, Sensation, Affect.” She is the co-author, with the late Joseph L. Henderson, of Transformation of the Psyche : The Symbolic Alchemy of the Splendor solis, which is widely used in analytic training programs and at Pacifica Graduate Institute. She has taught at UC Berkeley, Stanford University, Pacifica Graduate Institute, the C.G. Jung Institute of Chicago, the Pittsburgh Jung Institute, and extensively at the C. G. Jung Institute of San Francisco, where she was a training analyst. She has also lectured nationally and internationally on active imagination, the links between neuroscience, liminal states, and imagery, and alchemical symbolism in depth work.
