Sandplay Research

STA is committed to the continued development of sandplay literature and research. We encourage sandplay research of all kinds, particularly studies that are evidence based. Every two years, an award for outstanding sandplay research is presented at STA’s national conference.

On this page you will find Reference Bibliographies for sandplay therapy and Depth/Developmental Psychology, as well as a list of published Dissertations concerning sandplay and other uses of the sand tray.

In the On-Line Research Sites section, you will find a growing list of web sites to assist with research efforts. Members of STA’s research committee are available for project consultation, and assistance with research design and data evaluation.
