ABSTRACT: The author reflects on the image of Buddha which can symbolize the Self. There are Celestial Buddhas, Syakyamuni Buddha, and Buddhahood. The author discusses the Buddha image in clinical examples of three clients. The Lotus Sutra is one of the most important sutras in Mahayana Buddhism. The Lotus Sutra teaches that everyone can become Buddha. The author makes symbolical interpretations of Buddha and the Lotus Sutra.
