 12:00 pm CDT\n\nThe first half of the program will be devoted to an explor
 ation of the psychological meaning of the color-stages\, illustrated with 
 images from art. We then move in depth to the significance of the albedo
  and the rubedo as a complementary pair in the psyche\, representing ar
 chetypal feminine and masculine energies.\n\nCorroboration for these oppo
 sites as a pair is found not only in cross-cultural color symbol-systems w
 orldwide and across time but also in contemporary studies of the neuroanat
 omy of the human brain. We will discuss the challenges we and our clients
  face in balancing these two energies in our daily lives.\n\nIn the second
  half of the program\, we will focus on these colors in the sandplay of a 
 deeply wounded woman on her transformational 22-year journey from addictio
 n and the self-destructive behavior of her past to a radiant new life.\n\n

  has served as adjunct faculty in the Sandplay Studies Program at JFKU\, &

 ternationally since 2009. Her many articles appear in the Journal of Sandp
 lay Studies\; "The Tao of Sandplay Therapy" appears as a chapter in the bo
 ok Into the Heart of Sandplay (2018)\; She offers sandplay\, dreamwork\, c
 ase consultation and Jungian depth psychotherapy in her private practice w
 ith adults in Albany\, California.
