Lectures will cover topics including the origins of Sandplay therapy\, the meaning of the “free an d protected space\,” basic tools and practice technique\, the role of th e Sandplay therapist\, and the Jungian theoretical basis for understanding Sandplay imagery. Lectures will be enriched with case examples and severa l experiential exercises with miniatures. Participants will also have the opportunity to experience Sandplay by creating an image of their own in a small sandtray. She began training with Dora Kalff in 1975 and became a T eaching Member of Sandplay Therapists of America and the International Soc iety for Sandplay Therapy in 1991. She has published articles in numerous Sandplay journals and along with Dr. Sherwood\, co-edited Into the Heart o f Sandplay. She has served on the Board of Directors for Sandplay Therapis ts of America and the International Society for Sandplay Therapy\, and is the current Honorary Secretary for ISST. Ms. Jackson has extensive interna tional teaching experience\, offering a wide range of Sandplay training ev ents online and in person. She maintains a private practice in southeaster n Pennsylvania where she has established The Center for Jungian Sandplay t o offer Sandplay process\, consultation\, and training in the tradition of Dora Kalff.\n\nDyane Sherwood\, PhD\, completed her own sandplay process in the 1980s and has been using sandplay with adults and children for near ly 40 years.
