ABSTRACT: A midlife woman came to therapy with depression and a sense of feeling stuck, powerless to help herself. She made 28 sandplays, worked with her dreams, drew mandalas and did active imagination. Several sandplay figures invited her into dialoguing with them as equal imaginal partners. This experience revivified her and allowed her to regain her inner balance and renewed her will to engage in and transform her life.
