Dear STA Associate Members:

This is an exciting spring coming up! Our STA National Conference , entitled “Sand, Sea and Sky in Savanna: Innovation and new Dimensions in Sandplay” , from May 18-21, 2008 will feature many Associate Members who will present their clinical and/or research work under the sponsorship of an STA Teaching Member for the first time at a national conference. Please join me in congratulating Karen Wheeler, Dale Ellen Grossman, Linda Cunningham, Leslie Johannes, Lydia Lennihan, Lorraine Freedle, Pamela Bruning and David Capitolo for the work that they are doing deserves recognition and support! Please consider attending this very special conference, which is headlined by Eliana Gil, Ph.D., RPT-S, and which will bring many innovative clinical approaches to light through our members’ hard work and interests. This month we feature an interview with our own Lisa Sondin. Many of you have expressed an interest in knowing more about her practice and her involvement in bringing miniatures onto our shelves…this is an excellent opportunity to read about her journey.

STA will be hosting an Associate Member meeting to group Associate members by regional interests, and then elect regional representatives on Tuesday May 20 from 5:15 to 6 pm at the Savannah conference. I strongly urge you to attend this meeting, and participate in this process to make your needs and interests known as an Associate Member!
