Hale, Richard A. Sandplay and Background Music

Volume 7, Number 1, 1998 (Volume VII, Number 1, 1998)

KEY WORDS: music, sandplay, reflection.

ABSTRACT: This author promotes further experimentation with the elements of the sandplay approach for continued development and growth of this therapeutic modality. The author suggests that the sandplayer can be allowed the opportunity of choosing the music he/she would liked played quietly during the preparation of the tray or silence. Through the music, the creative elements of the unconscious archetypes are activated.
