Weller, Barbara. Afterthoughts on the Masculine

Volume IV, Number 1, 1994 (Volume 4, Number 1, 1994)

KEY WORDS: masculine, feminine, sandplay therapy, NCSS, conference, 1993, labels, reflection, treachery, differences, similiarities.

This article is a reflection of the author on a variety of questions which emerged for her in preparation for her presentation at the Northern California Sandplay Society’s “On the Masculine” Conference in March, 1994. The questions that emerged prompted more awareness for the author of her masculine side and the dark feminine, and then led to more questions. The author concludes with a statement by Rainer Maria Rilke, who wrote, “Live the questions now. Perhaps, you will gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answers.”
