Morena, Gita. After Savannah: Reflections on Sandplay

Volume 18, Number 1, 2009

Keywords: symbolic language, sandplay therapy, Sandplay Therapists of America National conference, Dora Kalff, STA 2008.

Abstract: This article commends the creative and expansive nature of the Sandplay Therapists of America 2008 national conference in Savannah and also raises concerns about establishing and maintaining the essential characteristics of sandplay therapy. It encourages sandplay therapists to teach clearly about the unique and powerful aspects of this modality, and to hold to the guidelines that define it.
