Zich, Jane. On the Threshold: Confronting the Gatekeeper

Volume XVI, Number 1

Keywords: gatekeeper, threshold, process-oriented communication.
Abstract: Images from the unconscious not only provide us with rich symbolic material but also may inform us about the process of the dialogue occurring between the conscious and the unconscious. In this paper, the author describes one particularly provocative type of process-oriented communication from the unconscious, the Threshold-Gatekeeper image. The value of heeding such images is discussed.
