Volume 14, Number 2  (Volume XIV, Number 2, 2005)

KEY WORDS: sandplay therapy, clinical example, symbol, transformation.

ABSTRACT: This article explores the unicorn as a symbol, and the medieval tale of the unicorn and the lady depicted in the tapestry, The Lady and the Unicorn, as it relates to the case of a 58-year-old woman with a history of bulimia. Lea found the container that she needed and was able to transform a core belief about herself through the unicorn as a symbol of light in ¬her sandplay therapy.
