ABSTRACT: Birthday party symbols and party sandplays are illustrative of constellation of the Self trays in boys and girls. Birthday sandplays can contain the “steadying point,” the place of numinous centering of the Self. This clinical paper discusses the use of celebratory trays in four children’s sandplay processes.
